Hi, I'm Katie!

I'm a coffee drinking, cupcake baking, D20 rolling family gal and huge nerd. I live in Everett with my amazing husband, rambunctious preschooler, and adorably spunky toddler. They are my entire world!

I’ve been in love with documenting different aspects of life since I was gifted my first digital camera at my high school graduation, and this passion for capturing genuine moments of every day life has carried over to the experience you'll have with Twisted Sugar Photography.

I know how much your family memories mean to you, because mine mean everything to me! I strive to capture every family just as they are -- love, beauty, chaos and all.

I want to be YOUR photographer and record all the ages and stages of your family, and I can’t wait to get to know you all! Let’s get on the phone, or together for a cup of coffee, and talk about images you’re dreaming of.

Family Time

Going on adventures is pretty much the best thing ever! From the big things like a family trip to Disneyland, to the little things like going on a walk and stomping in puddles, few things make me happier than hanging out with my loves.

Baking

Did I mention that I love cupcakes? I'm not much of a chef, but I do love to bake! I get powdered sugar all over the place every time I do it (especially now that I have tiny helpers) but the end result is always worth a little bit of mess.

Sewing

I'm a life long crafter, and recently sewing is my go-to method of unwinding. I love making handbags and clothes for the kids, and it's just so rewarding when the bigger one gets excited about wearing something that Mommy made for him!

Kind Words

Sara & Family - Lake Stevens, WA

“Having the ability to capture a tiny snapshot of our lives while my daughters are still small is invaluable. Each photo Katie took is a little window into their personality. They perfectly preserved where our life is today.

The fact that she came to us and hung out while we played was a big part of that. So often staged photos seem forced. Simply being our goofy selves while having her click away was so easy. Beyond that she has kids of her own so she understood how to get their attention!”
